Therefore, the doctors in US record their findings into the computers with voice recognition technologies. These recorded voice signals are sent to companies outside US via satellite links. The companies employ medical transcriptionists who hear these records, and process the data into a word procesor.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Horizzon has tailored its service so that our clients benefit from new developments in digital dictation. Clients can dictate in two ways. Either over the telephone using our toll-free number or, alternatively, many clients prefer the flexibility and mobility of a Hand-held Digital Voice Recorder.

Two Easy Ways to Dictate
Telephone Toll Free Dictation: Telephone dictation allows our clients to dictate from any touchtone telephone by simply dialing our 800 number, entering your unique ID number and leaving your dictation at the touch of a button.
Hand-held Digital Recorders: A small hand-held device can be used anywhere at any time. Using a wide variety of digital recorders simply dictate in the normal way. It couldn’t be more user friendly, and whenever convenient to you, simply plug your hand-held into a PC with an Internet connection using the cable provided, and upload the audio files – it's that easy!
Step 2 - Dictation Received
Our system automatically logs your dictation and assigns the corresponding individualized client template. Creating document templates for each of our clients insures we meet their special needs. Clients can amend or update their layout requirements at any time.
Step 3 - Medical Transcription
All our transcriptionists are organized into specialized teams. Each client is assigned an individual transcriptionist(s) who become(s) familiar with their work to enhance the quality of the product.
Step 4 - Quality Control
Every completed transcript goes to our Quality Control Department, where it is checked again word-for-word by a senior transcriptionist known as an Editor.
Step 5 - Output and Complete
All files are visually checked for correctness, signed off and delivered to the client’s secure output directory, where the files are retrieved.
